IT IS GETTING BETTER
When I first read about this woman’s plan I thought it was a strong idea but I was worried that it was a little bit much for one person, no matter how dedicated, to keep it up for too long, especially since she has, you know, college to commit to. I never thought about how, if other people helped her carry her burden, I never thought about how much it would look like pallbearers with a coffin. Which is simply one of the strongest visual symbols one can use to disturb people in the western world.
Today is International Literacy Day!
Literacy and education are fundamental rights, and are essential for sustainable development. This is crucial if we want to reduce poverty, improve maternal and child health, and achieve gender equality.

What a wonderful day. They said to watch out for “TEDx crash” tomorrow but I don’t even know if the inspiration has fully hit me yet.
Somehow I got a VIP pass for today’s event, which was great because no bathroom lines, plus a SWAG bag, score! I’m a hag for swag.
Also! I ran into an old HS colleague at the after party and it was a nice catchup and change of pace chat—these events are totes amaze but also networking overload.
Now time to wind down with the hubs and laugh together over silly memes and gifs. We CANT be the only ones that do that right?
It was a good dinner tonite, with BBQ chicken, quinoa and corn on the cob, all ho-made :) yum to the tum!
Noah’s usually such a picky water but he ate a bunch of chicken after I called it T-Rex legs—Jurassic Park was on, and he was ALL about dinosaur for dinner.
I almost called the quinoa velociraptor eggs but quit while I was ahead, teehee.
